Hiring channels compared side by side
Every agency owner ends up testing most of these channels. The table sums up what each one is good at and where it costs you, so you can pick the two or three that fit how many chatters you hire per month.
| Channel | What it costs | Identity and age checks | Typical result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adult industry job board (PornWorkers) | Flat plan, $99 a month or $49 billed yearly, no fee per hire | Every candidate is ID and 18+ verified, employers are business verified | Fewer but better matched applicants who already accept the pay you posted |
| Mainstream freelance marketplaces | Platform fees on each contract | Varies, and adult roles are often not allowed | Postings removed or accounts suspended when the role is spotted |
| Remote staffing job boards | Monthly subscription for the employer | Basic, depends on the board | Large pools of general assistants; check the board’s rules for adult roles first |
| Telegram and Discord groups | Free to post | None | Hundreds of replies, high no-show rate, real scam risk on both sides |
| Reddit hiring threads | Free to post | None | Mixed quality, posts often removed by subreddit rules |
| Referrals from other agencies and chatters | A referral bonus if you offer one | Only as good as the person referring | Small numbers, usually the best retention |
| Managed chat team (outsourced) | Hourly fee or a share of chat sales | Handled by the provider | Coverage starts fast; less control over who writes in the creator’s voice |

Why the big freelance marketplaces rarely work for chatters
It is the first place most new agency owners try, and it usually ends the same way. Upwork’s list of jobs that are not allowed includes adult content and sexually explicit material, so a chatter posting tied to an adult account can be taken down and the client account flagged. Other general marketplaces have similar adult content restrictions in their terms. Even when a posting survives for a few days, you cannot be open about the job in the description, which means candidates arrive without knowing what the work is, and the ones who quit after the first shift cost you the training time.
The practical lesson is simple: post adult roles where adult roles are allowed, and say exactly what the job is. Honest listings attract people who already know the work and want it.
03
Telegram, Discord and Reddit, cheap but expensive
Posting a chatter role in a Telegram group can produce a hundred replies in an afternoon. The cost shows up later. Nobody in those groups is verified, so you cannot tell whether an applicant is an adult, whether they gave you their real name, or whether the “experienced chatter” has ever worked a shift. Agencies that hire this way report high turnover, and creators carry the risk when a stranger gets access to their conversations.
The scams also run the other way. Fake agencies use the same groups to collect unpaid trial shifts or ask applicants to pay for “training”. Good chatters know this and increasingly avoid applying to an agency they cannot check. If you use these groups, treat them as a top of funnel only and move serious candidates to a channel where both sides are verified.

Adult industry job boards and what to look for in one
A job board built for the adult industry solves the two problems above at once: you can describe the job openly, and candidates can trust that you are a real business. When you compare boards, check four things:
- Verification on both sides. Candidates should pass an ID and 18+ check before their profile is visible, and employers should pass a business check before they can post.
- Pricing you can predict. Flat monthly plans are easier to budget than fees per post or a percentage of each hire’s pay.
- Useful filters. Time zone, languages, availability and rate matter more for chatters than a CV does.
- Messages on the platform. It keeps a record of what was promised and protects both sides from impersonation.
PornWorkers covers all four. The Employer plan lets you publish up to 3 listings per month with an applicant inbox, shortlist and notes. If you hire chatters every month, the Recruiter plan ($299 a month, $149 billed yearly) adds talent search with filters and 150 contact unlocks per month, so you can message verified chatters who match your shift hours without waiting for them to apply. Before you post, our OnlyFans chatter hiring playbook has a job description template and a test task you can copy.

When a managed chat team makes more sense
Hiring, training and scheduling your own chatters is real work. If you run one or two creator accounts and need coverage this week, outsourcing to a supervised chat team that sells in the creator’s voice can be the faster route, and you pay for coverage rather than for recruiting. The trade-off is control: you choose the provider, not the individual chatter, and margins are thinner once the account scales.
Many agencies mix both. They outsource the overnight shift and hire their own chatters for prime hours, where tone and fan relationships matter most. Whichever way you go, keep the persona guide, pricing menu and creator limits in a document you own, so you can switch people without starting from zero.
06
How much it costs to hire an OnlyFans chatter
Chatter pay varies widely by language, experience and hours. Commonly reported structures are an hourly base, a commission on the sales the chatter makes, or both. Commission-only offers are cheaper on paper and usually mean higher turnover, which costs more in training time than it saves. Our OnlyFans chatter pay guide shows the ranges agencies commonly report and how commission is usually calculated.
Add the hiring cost on top. A free Telegram post that produces one chatter who quits after a week is not free. A flat plan that produces two chatters who stay six months is usually the cheaper channel, even before you count the risk you avoid by knowing who is on the other end.
07
A simple hiring routine for agencies
- Write one listing per shift, not one listing for “chatters”, with the time zone, hours and pay in the first lines.
- Shortlist on the 20 to 30 minute writing test, not on claimed experience.
- Run a paid shadow shift with your lead before the chatter works alone.
- Review the first week’s conversations with written feedback.
- Keep two strong candidates warm for every shift, because someone always leaves.

Questions people ask
Where can I hire OnlyFans chatters?
On adult industry job boards such as PornWorkers, through referrals from other agencies and chatters, or by outsourcing to a managed chat team. Telegram and Reddit work for volume but nobody there is verified.
Can I hire OnlyFans chatters on Upwork?
Usually not. Upwork’s rules on jobs that are not allowed exclude adult content and sexually explicit material, so chatter postings for adult accounts are often removed.
How much does it cost to hire an OnlyFans chatter?
Pay depends on language, experience and hours. Agencies commonly pay an hourly base, a commission on chat sales, or both. Commission-only offers tend to have the highest turnover.
How do I know an OnlyFans chatter is over 18?
Ask for ID before any access, or hire through a platform that verifies age and identity before the profile is visible. On PornWorkers every candidate passes an ID and 18+ check first.
Is it better to outsource OnlyFans chatting or hire in-house?
Outsourcing is faster for one or two accounts. Hiring your own chatters gives more control over voice and costs less per hour once you run several accounts.
